Lagen Island Resort is set in a cove, fringed by a thick primary forest. The sprawling grounds cover more than four hectares. Lagen Island is a showcase of El Nido’s flora and fauna, where trees provide various niches for a diverse variety of birds and mammals, providing a wealth of opportunities and experiences for wildlife observation and sightings. At the back of the resort is a trail that passes through a forest and ends in a private cove. The Lagen trail is one of the best sites for birdwatching, more rewarding during the early morning or towards late afternoon. Lagen Island hosts a high diversity of birds including almost all of the species endemic to Palawan.

ARTS AND CRAFTS TOUR
People who have a passion for arts and crafts should see the Philippines. From Manila we can organize visits to the Artist Village of Angono, the Wood Carvers Village of Paete, the Barong Weavers of Lumban in Laguna, the turn of the century furniture makers in Pampanga, the gold jewelers in Bulacan, the silver craft of Baguio and the tribal woodcarvings in Banaue. The Filipino's blend of different cultural origins and their rich history and tradition make the product of imagination and creativity an interesting aspect of their lives.
BIRD WATCHING
The Philippines treasures more than 500 species of birds. The protected forest on mountains and island coves are interesting destinations for ornithologists and bird watchers. Among the top destinations are Mt. Apo, Mt. Makiling, Mt. Kanlaon, Palawan Islands and Butuan Marsh.
FARM TOURS
Farming is a major activity in the country. Interestingly though, while many Filipino farmers are now attuned to modern farming, many still practice agriculture the traditional way. As such, we have the system of terrace irrigation and other uphill tribal practices.
For the farm tour, we organize tours that fit individual interests, from the old traditional to the most modern farming methods. This includes visits to the traditional cut flower growers, vegetable farms, and fruit farms that grow mangoes, bananas and pineapples. We also include visits to schools and institutes dedicated to developing and improving the science of agriculture in the Philippines.
GOLF
The Philippines is a golfer's paradise, abundant with enticing fairways and nourished by an almost perfect all-year-round weather. Some of the golf courses are the finest in the world, complete with amenities and facilities of international standard. Recommended golf courses are located in Manila and the neighboring provinces such as Batangas, Cavite, Tagaytay, Laguna and Pampanga. The island of Cebu and the provinces of Davao and Zamboanga are also hosts to the finests golf courses.
MOUNTAIN CLIMBING, TREKKING, AND RIVER TRAILING
Mountaineering in the Philippine archipelago is a unique and varied experience. It usually goes hand-in-hand with trekking and river trailing. For the advanced climber, there are areas where rock climbing and rappelling skills are put to use. For nature lovers, the rewards are many. More than fifty climb, trek and river trail sites are sure to delight the adventurers. Most notable mountains in the Philippines are Mt. Pulog, Mt. Mayon, Mt.Halcon, Mt. Apo, and Mt. Banahaw.
SCUBA DIVING
The reefs come alive with swiveling streams of diverse neon-colored fish darting through colorful coral gardens. Plenty of these sights are scattered in the exotic destinations in the Philippines. Marine life is rich and plentiful in the more than 7,000 islands' surrounding reefs, atoll and coral gardens. The more popular dive areas are in the islands of Mindoro, Palawan, Dumaguete, Cebu, Bohol and Mindanao.
SPELUNKING
The Philippines has hundreds of wonderful caves for the spelunkers to explore. Locals used to be afraid to enter the caves. Many connect the caves with supernatural beliefs that keep the caves very well preserved and unexplored. Interestingly, these are caves that were used by tribal people to perform superstitious practices and some as burial grounds
Today, people have realized the fun and excitement of exploring caves. The Philippine archipelago floats on limestone bedrock riddled with extensive networks of caves. The Philippines has about two hundred caves of which the most well-known are in Cagayan Valley, Mountain Province, Palawan, Samar, Leyte, Dumaguete and in the Bicol Peninsula.
